US centers of Islamic activity form interesting map by Allen West

The say a picture is worth a thousand words, and here are two that will start a conversation for sure. These two maps of Islamic activity were created a number of years apart by different investigators.

I won’t add anything other than I live in a state that is deep blue and was home to Mohammed Atta and several other 9-11 conspirators.

However, I do have a question for all you folks out there with a “Coexist” bumper sticker on your Prius: how many churces and synagogues are in Saudi Arabia?

THE GREAT GAY DECEPTION by DR. MICHAEL BROWN

In February 2007, a colleague of mine attended the annual fundraising dinner for the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the world’s largest gay activist organization. As a Christian man deeply committed to righteousness in our nation, he wanted to see how the HRC operated firsthand.

Next to him at the table was a homosexual couple, and as my friend was talking to one of the men in the couple, he suddenly had a vision—and he is not prone to such things—of a snake wrapped around the man’s neck. He knew he had to kill it before it strangled the man to death, but he also knew if he didn’t exercise extreme care in killing the snake, he would kill the man in the process.

That, in vivid pictorial illustration, is the predicament we find ourselves in today in the church. On the one hand, we see the real dangers of gay activism affecting virtually every area of our society. In fact, it can be said without exaggeration that gay activism is the principal threat to our freedoms of speech, religion and conscience. And we see how our kids are being negatively influenced in their schools and through the media by curricula and programming produced by gay activists and their straight allies.

At the same time, we want to reach out to those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender with the love of God and the compassion of Christ, recognizing how much rejection many of them have suffered and being fully aware they perceive conservative Christians to be their greatest enemies, viewing us as hateful, bigoted, intolerant and homophobic—as condemning all of them to hell.

How then do we stand against gay activism without hurting our witness to gay individuals? And how do we reach out with sensitivity without softening our stance for righteousness? How do we walk in both grace and truth together?

Reach Out and Resist

In January 2005, the Lord spoke this word to my heart: “Reach out and resist.” I knew this word to mean I was to reach out to the homosexual community with compassion while resisting gay activism with courage—and I have been seeking to live that out ever since.

I can hear already what some believers will say: “We agree we need to reach out to gays and lesbians with the gospel. Of course we do! Homosexuals are loved by God just as much as heterosexuals. Jesus shed the same blood for gays and straights. All of us are created in the image of God yet are broken and fallen. It is our sacred responsibility to share the gospel with the LGBT community—but we’ve got no business opposing gay activism. That’s mixing politics with religion, and it will only hurt our witness.”

Really? Are you sure? Was it mixing politics with religion when Christians opposed slavery and the slave trade in the 18th and 19th centuries? Is it mixing politics with religion now when Christians stand up for the lives of the unborn or oppose human trafficking?

In the same way, it is not mixing politics with religion when we stand up for gender as God intended it, for sexuality as God intended it, for marriage as God intended it, just to name a few of the issues here. And while there is a real challenge to our witness to the LGBT community when we stand for righteousness, we really have no choice.

Let me explain why the stakes are so high and why it is imperative we practice the “reach out” part as well as the “resist” part.

The War on the Bible

Forty years ago, gay activists concluded their two main enemies were the psychiatric profession and the church. The former classified homosexuality as a sickness, the latter as a sin, and so an ideological war was launched to combat these mindsets.

In 1973, the American Psychiatric Association (followed by a host of other organizations) depathologized homosexuality, saying it was not a mental or emotional disorder of any kind.

This meant the last major obstacle to overcome was the view of the church, and that’s why there has been a concerted effort to change public perception about the Bible and homosexual practice. This effort has involved arguing that the message of the Bible is antiquated and irrelevant or, in more conservative circles, that the Word of God was condemning things like pedophilia and homosexual prostitution as opposed to committed, loving, same-sex relationships.

Make no mistake about it: Gay activists will not be satisfied until Christians across the nation believe Moses and Jesus and Paul would affirm same-sex marriage. After all, love is love, right?

This battle is coming to a church or denomination near you.

The War on Gender

What many believers do not realize is that there is not only a war on heterosexism (defined by the San Francisco Unified School District as “an overt or tacit bias against homosexuality rooted in the belief that heterosexuality is superior or the norm”). There is also a war on gender — on male-female distinctives and on the male-female dichotomy.

As stated by lesbian sociology professor Barb Burdge, “The social construct of dividing humans into male and female is oppressive and should be rejected altogether.”

In keeping with this ideology, Newsweek magazine asked almost four years ago, in its August 16, 2010, issue, “Are we facing a genderless future?” and further stated that “a small but growing number of people are rejecting being labeled male or female.”

Even more shockingly, standard policy in Los Angeles schools states, “‘Gender identity’ refers to one’s understanding, interests, outlook and feelings about whether one is female or male, or both, or neither, regardless of one’s biological sex.” (I’m not making this up.)

That’s why you’re hearing more and more about female prom kings and male prom queens. As one 16-year-old girl explains, “It’s not like the stereotype where the [prom] king has to be a jock and he’s there with the cheerleaders anymore. We live in a generation now where dudes are chicks and chicks are dudes.”

Who can imagine what’s coming next if we don’t uphold the standard of God’s male-female creation?

The War on Children’s Education

Writing in the flagship gay publication The Advocate in 1995, lesbian journalist Patricia Nell Warren stated, “Whoever captures the kids owns the future.” Long before this, in 1958, Allen Ginsberg, the famed Beat poet and gay hippie icon, shouted to a young conservative leader, “We’ll get you through your children!”

Gay activists have been incredibly successful capturing the hearts and minds of our kids, not primarily by trying to seduce them into gay sex (as if all gays were child predators), but rather through indoctrination. As stated by the National Union of Teachers in the U.K., “It is particularly important to begin to make 3- to 5-year-olds aware of the range of families that exist in the U.K. today: families with one mum, one mum and dad, two mums, two dads, grandparents, adoptive parents, guardians.”

Coloring books like Girls Will Be Boys Will Be Girls seek to deconstruct traditional gender roles. Children’s readers like One Dad, Two Dads, Brown Dad, Blue Dads and Oh, the Things Mommies Do! What Could Be Better Than Having Two? influence the minds of nursery school kids.

And “Terminology Game Cards,” provided by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, quiz elementary school students on terms such as biological sex, gender identity, gender role, transgender, gender expression, sexual orientation, heterosexism, transphobia, asexual, bisexual, lesbian, gay, transsexual, intersexual, androgyny, cross dresser, genderqueer, gender non-conforming, queer, LGBTQ, sexual reassignment surgery, D/L (down low) and MSM.

In the last two years, the state of California passed bills that 1) call for the mandatory celebration of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender history in America for all grades and districts, with no ability to opt out for parents or students; 2) make it illegal for a minor with unwanted same-sex attractions to get professional counseling and help, even with parental permission; and 3) give rights to a student in any grade who identifies as the opposite of his/her biological sex to use the bathroom of his/her choice and to play on the sports team (male or female) of his/her choice with use of the respective locker room.

And you say we shouldn’t care about this or get involved? (Remember also that what I’m sharing here is the tiniest tip of a massive iceberg; for many more details on all these fronts, see my book A Queer Thing Happened to America.)

The War on the Media

Writing in 1989, gay strategists Marshall Kirk and Hunter Madsen called for the “conversion of the average American’s emotions, mind, and will, through a planned psychological attack, in the form of propaganda fed to the nation via the media.”

They and their colleagues have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams to the point that film critic and radio host Michael Medved noted several years ago, “A Martian gathering evidence about American society, simply by monitoring our television, would certainly assume that there were more gay people in America than there are evangelical Christians.”

We could now say the Martian would also conclude gay people are, with rare or no exception, incredibly nice, family-oriented, creative and considerate, while evangelical Christians are mean-spirited, judgmental, dull, greedy and hypocritical.

Back in 2010, gay media activist Jarrett Barrios stated, “It’s not enough to be Will and Grace anymore. The benchmark is higher.” (For our kids, Glee has certainly gone a good way toward advancing that goal.) That same year, an article on the insidemovie.com website noted “a particular sub-genre has emerged as perhaps the hottest gimmick in Hollywood: girl on girl [kissing].”

Yes, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy is now old hat and Brokeback Mountain (which featured gay sex scenes with mainstream actors on the big screen) is remembered with nostalgia for its groundbreaking role.

Today, Hollywood is becoming more and more militant, with leading actors like Mark Ruffalo, who appeared in the lesbian-themed movie The Kids Are All Right, saying this about the stand for marriage as God intended it: “It’s the last dying, kicking, screaming, caged animal response to a world that is changing, a world that’s leaving a lot of those old, bigoted, unaccepting views behind. It’s over. Those against it are very tricky, and they’re using really dark ways to promote their ideas.”

Hollywood has declared war on biblical values—and, sad to say, many American evangelicals are more familiar with the latest movies than with the Word of God.

The War on Our Freedoms of Conscience, Speech and Religion

Whole books could be written on this subject detailing the stories of university students punished or kicked out of their schools because they could not affirm gay activism, employees fired from their jobs or fined for posting their views on homosexuality on their private Facebook pages or in local newspaper editorials, street preachers arrested for preaching the Word of God on sexuality, business owners fined for refusing to participate in gay commitment ceremonies — and the list goes on and on.

As I wrote in December 2013, “It is not just private individuals who have been punished for refusing to bow the knee to gay activism or for speaking out of turn, but also public figures like Dr. Ben Carson, pastor Louie Giglio and Sen. Rick Santorum. (In case you missed what happened with Mr. Santorum, in April, a Michigan high school canceled his speaking appearance out of concern that he would address same-sex marriage, eventually agreeing to let him speak with the caveat that students could only attend with parental permission [!]. In stark contrast, Bible-bashing, gay-sex-exalting speakers like Dan Savage are hailed as heroes in our schools and campuses, given carte blanche to talk about the most vile subjects to our young people.)”

And who can forget what happened to Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson after his comments about homosexuality were published by GQ magazine?

The simple truth is that if we don’t stand up for what is right today, we will have to apologize to our kids and grandkids tomorrow. Yet many Christians refuse to believe this, thinking that by ignoring these critical social issues and simply building bridges to their LGBT friends and co-workers, they will remove the gay community’s opposition to the gospel.

The reality is that unless we affirm that homosexual relationships and homosexual practice are fine in God’s sight, we will still be branded as homophobes and bigots.

Our Reaching and Resisting Response

What then must we do? First, we must ask God for His heart of love and compassion toward those who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender, recognizing the vast majority of them did not simply choose to have these attractions or gender-related issues and that, more than anything, they want to be accepted for who they are.

Second, we must get our own houses in order, repenting of our sexual sin and of our rampant, no-fault divorce.

Third, we must pray for the LGBT community and reach out to them in friendship with the message of the gospel, remembering that Jesus offers forgiveness and redemption equally to all.

And fourth, we must stand firmly against the encroachment of gay activism, recognizing the unspoken mantra of LGBT activists is, “We will intimidate and manipulate until you capitulate.” We must make it known clearly—with love, grace, compassion and humility—that capitulation is not an option.

It is our nature to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world, and in Jesus we will stand.

Blaspheming God and Praying for Those Who Do

Matthew 12:31

Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Revelation 13:1, 6

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
I have posted a few things online about Bill Maher, host of Live with Bill Maher on HBO.  I don’t watch this show, but I have before, and didn’t like it too well.  Now he has spoke against the God of Heaven, My Father who saved me from sin, and it really bothers me deep in my soul.  I watched the video where he blasphemed My God, and this shows how merciful My God is.  Maher just doesn’t realize how God could strike him dead at the moment he called God a “psychotic mass murderer” while he was critiquing the new Noah movie starring Russell Crowe.  Not only that, he called God a “d***”
I have no sympathy for people who brazenly speak out against My God like that.  If God should strike that person dead, deaf, or dumb, they deserve it!  I love everyone, and I have sent up a prayer for God to soften Maher’s heart, change his thinking, and come to Christ.  I pray for people who are in such darkness, they can’t see the light God sent to us through His Son, Jesus Christ.
People say Christians aren’t tolerant of other people, and how they want to live their lives.  That is far from the truth.  We love everyone, even though we don’t love their lifestyle.  We Christians speak the truth, but the world doesn’t want to hear the truth, because it will cause people to think, and realize the way they are living is wrong.  God is not going to continue to strive with man.  There is going to come a day when God says it’s enough, and sends His Son, Jesus, to get all His children, and bring them home.
We that call ourselves Christians, need to check ourselves daily, making sure everything is covered under the precious blood of Jesus.  We need to make sure God approves of the way we are living, so we can bring others into the kingdom of God.  No one is going to get into Heaven “by the skin of their teeth”!  No sin will ever enter Heaven, and that’s a wonderful thing!
Join me in praying for Bill Maher, and those that were on his show, laughing along with all the blasphemous things he was saying about God, and His word.  I have a link to that video at the bottom, if anyone wants  to see it.

“My Five Wives” – oppose this new promotion of polygamy!

“But I don’t want to go among mad people,” Alice remarked.

“Oh, you can’t help that,” said the Cat: “we’re all mad here.”

Do you ever feel like Alice who fell down the rabbit hole, only to discover that she no longer recognized the world in which she lived?  That’s pretty much how I feel everyday here at American Decency as we wade through the daily headlines of a culture disintegrating before our very eyes.  And what we see is no Wonderland.

One of the latest signs of madness is the increasing legitimization of polygamy.  As blogger Rebecca Hamilton writes:

“… Remember a few eye blinks of time ago when anyone who said that redefining marriage to allow two men or two women to “marry” would lead to polygamy was called an idiot/bigot/homophobe/hater?

Now, it seems that anyone who dares to say a critical word about polygamy is an idiot/bigot/hater. …

Meanwhile, those earlier idiot/bigot/homophobe/haters who said that redefining marriage would open the gates to who knows what — including polygamy — are looking more and more like prophets.

The legalization of gay marriage is still moving and the sell job on polygamy is already well along.”

The first show promoting polygamy was “Big Love” on HBO, followed by TLC’s “Sister Wives” which we have targeted since its debut.  Now TLC has premiered another show featuring a polygamist family, “My Five Wives.”

The premise of “My Five Wives” is obvious – one man + five women in a so-called “marriage.”  Throw in a brood of 24 kids sired by the one dad and you have “My Five Wives.”  However, this show takes the promotion of polygamy even one step further than “Sister Wives” with its unmitigated promotion of polygamy.  Through the distorted lens of TLC, only a positive view of this deviancy is shown. A “progressive,” modern day American family living their chosen lifestyle – “normal times five” as ‘husband’ Brady likes to say.

The show is little more than a 60 minute infomercial to sell viewers on the acceptance of polygamy.  Here are a few statements from the ‘husband’ and his harem:

·         “Five wives, 24 kids – I wouldn’t change it for anything.”
·         “I spent my whole life hiding, but not anymore.”
·          “Now I live without fear of people knowing who I am.”
·         “Sharing a husband is MY choice.”
·         “People don’t understand our lifestyle, but it works for us.”
·         “It’s not that complicated, we just love each other.”
·         “There’s nothing wrong with what we’re doing as long as it’s consensual.”
·         “This is the way I choose to live my life and there’s no reason we should be prosecuted for that.”

It can all sound quite reasonable, especially to those not grounded in biblical truth.  With a sympathetic portrayal of this “poor, discriminated-against ‘family’ that just wants to live life as they see fit,” it’s easy to see how most viewers will come to accept one more redefinition of marriage.

We’ve seen this strategy before.

Hollywood lays the groundwork for the acceptance of ___________ (fill in the blank).  Profanity, promiscuity, homosexuality, gay marriage – and now polygamy.  The public is lulled to accept each one as such themes are subtly interwoven throughout entertainment in the guise of winsome/funny/sweet shows.  We overlook this or that and soon come to accept this or that.

Then the liberal establishment takes over to codify into law the acceptance of deviancy – no-fault divorce; “safe sex” education; “hate crimes” laws; legalization of homosexual marriage.

And so the cycle repeats – now with polygamy.

And yet, for some reason, the Christian community is either asleep, dumbed-down, or scared of their own shadow.  For the most part, nary a word has been spoken about this latest assault upon marriage.

One day in the not so distant future – if we remain silent – we will wake up and find that polygamous marriage is now the law of the land.

America is like little Alice who “fell

the hole,
bumped her head,
and bruised her soul.”

Bill Maher Curses God, Bible, Noah Story and ‘Stupid’ Americans Who Believe; Calls God ‘Psychotic Mass Murderer’ BY LEONARDO BLAIR , CP REPORTER

After reading this article, this will explain why I never watch this loud mouth “comedian”.  I have never liked his values, and now he is mocking God!  This man is living on borrowed time, and doesn’t realize God could strike him dumb, let alone strike him dead, sending him to Hell, to be with what seems to be his dad, Satan!
Bill Maher(PHOTO: REUTERS)Comedian Bill Maher

Comedian and TV host Bill Maher left his target audience in riotous laughter in a recent rant on his show in which he cursed God, the Bible, the story of Noah and the “stupid” Americans who take Scripture literally.

“No one can blame me when I say this is a stupid country. When 60 percent of the adults in it think the Noah’s Ark story is literally true. Which is why I’m already sick of the ads for this floating piece of giraffe crap,” said Maher on the “New Rules” segment of his show posted to YouTube Friday.

Maher then goes on to critique the Noah movie expected in theaters March 28, challenging the credibility of the story in mocking tones and ripping Christians for arguing over the storyline of the silver screen adaptation.

“Although, the movie has been condemned by both Christians and Muslims, so it must be doing something right. And they say it may lose a fortune for the studio, which would put it in hot water with the Jews, too,” he said.

“You believe a man, Noah, lived to be 900 years old, that’s what the Bible said; and when he was 500, he decided to have three kids just like Clint Eastwood.”

Maher continued, “And when he was 600, he and his three 100-year-old sons built a boat unto which, in one day, they loaded over 3 million animals, all of which were apparently indigenous to within five miles of the boat.”

“But get this, what the Christians who are now protesting this movie are upset about is that it doesn’t take the biblical story literally enough. They’re mad because this made-up story doesn’t stay true to their made-up story,” he quipped.

Maher, however, didn’t stop at Christians and the movie. He ripped right into God.

“The thing that’s really disturbing about Noah isn’t the silly, it’s that it’s immoral. It’s about a psychotic mass murderer who gets away with it and his name is God. Genesis says God was so angry with Himself for screwing up when he made mankind so flawed that he sent the flood to kill everyone. Men, women, children, babies, what kind of tyrant punishes everyone just to get back at the few he’s mad at? I mean besides Chris Christie,” he said.

“Hey God, you know you’re kind of a d**k when you’re in a movie with Russell Crowe and you’re the one with anger issues,” he noted.

The comedian then tried making the case for why people should not get their moral direction from the Bible.
“You know conservatives are always going on about how Americans are losing their values and their morality. Well maybe it’s because you worship a guy who drowns babies,” he said.

“And then God’s genius plan after he kills everyone is to repopulate the world with a new crop of the same a**h**es who p***ed him off the first time with predictable results. He kills millions more. If we were a dog and God owned us, the cops would come and take us away. Why are we getting our morals out of this book? Why are people following any of it?” he asked.

Though None Go With Me, I Still Will Follow by Sunny Shell

Following the Master of my soul is sometimes a lonely road; sadly, even within the Christian community.

It seems these days, that Christians have become as worldly as the world we live in. We live, laugh and love with those who live, laugh and love with us, while we shun those who make us feel uncomfortable.

We hypocritically and foolishly judge one another based on our personal affinities and ideologies of how we think life ought to be lived, whilst all the time, we dismiss our Savior’s command to love as He has loved us; in accordance with His perfect and righteous judgment (Jn 7:24), rather than with our imperfect and Pharisaical views (Ps 55:12-14Matt 7:5).

If we encourage and excuse those who indulge in the same sins we do, while we condemn and reject those who love us enough to rebuke us with the word of God (2 Tim 3:16-17), how will we ever mature in our faith (Prov 27:6)?

Sometimes I wonder if I’ve lived my life in vain. If the love I’ve shared, the injury spared and sacrifices made were all for naught. I wonder if others have truly forgiven me for offenses and injuries I’ve caused them, or desire my forgiveness for pains they’ve caused me. I wonder, as Christians, do we really strive for peace with one another—do we purposefully seek to love one another as Christ our God has loved us? Or do we sit around hoping things will magically work themselves out so we don’t have to face some ugly truths about ourselves?

“So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift…And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

~Matt 5:23-24, Mk 11:25 (ESV)

Strife or any hint of discord within the body of Christ has always and I believe, always will grieve me more than anything. Why? Because it grieves our Lord…it’s His body, so ultimately, it’s the Lord Jesus we’re hurting when we act in pride, behave foolishly, love only those who love us and make us feel good, when we gossip and harbor bitterness towards one another—all these things deeply grieve the Holy Spirit (Eph 4:30-32), therefore it ought to grieve all those who are in Christ.

During these times of grief, I look to the Heavens and call out to God my Father, the Maker of Heaven and Earth. When I see His glorious and marvelous ways, and understand what I can of His magnificent wisdom, I perceive how He lovingly, patiently and compassionately deals with all mankind. My heart is filled with peace and moved with enduring love for those (both believers and unbelievers) who have hurt and rejected me or others who call on the name of the Lord. I understand, for I grieve my Lord the same way whenever I disobey (Lk 6:46) and prefer my opinions of right and wrong over God’s perfect judgement of what’s right and wrong.

I remind myself that I am nothing great in this world that anyone should look upon me and desire me for anything. I am but a lowly hand-maiden of the Lord, working His field, happily doing His bidding, just as He has commanded (Lk 17:101 Cor 4:7). And in this, I am well satisfied, for I am well loved, well cared for, and well honored as a daughter of the Most High God.

So, while in life, I am may never be the person everyone likes, nor ever draw a crowd to my funeral, I shall be be fully satisfied on That Day, should my Lord say to me, my life had been a beautiful offering to Him and that I had run the race and finished well (Mk 14:6Matt 25:232 Tim 4:7).

“Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him…And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up…And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.”

~Psalm 126:5-6, Gal 6:9, James 3:18 (ESV)

Take courage fellow saints of Christ the Lord, remember, our lives are not our own. We were bought with the most costly price—the perfect and precious blood of the Son of God. If we lose all that this world holds dear, be encouraged knowing your faithful service to our brothers and sisters, and taking the Gospel to the lost, will grant you eternal glories that outweigh every earthly pleasure (2 Cor 4:16-18)!

“Whoever loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And whoever does not take his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”

~Jesus the Christ (Matt 10:37-39, ESV)

Huckabee Provides 10-Minute Platform for Possible 2016 Presidential Run at CPAC; Exhorts Americans Not to Forget God BY NAPP NAZWORTH , CHRISTIAN POST REPORTER

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. – Gov. Mike Huckabee only had 10 minutes to speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference, but in that time he described what could be a full platform for the 2016 presidential race.

His 10-minute CPAC speech tackled every issue one would expect from a Republican presidential candidate: healthcare, foreign policy, tax policy, abortion, Israel, parental rights, gun rights, religious liberty and the NSA, IRS and Benghazi scandals.

  • Mike Huckabee

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee (R) speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference held in National Harbor, Md., March 7, 2014.

He also spoke about God.

“I know there’s a God. And I know that this nation would not exist had He not been the midwife of its birth. And I know that this nation exists by the providence of His hand and if this nation forgets our God, then God will have every right to forget about us,” he said.

Huckabee quoted Ruth Bell Graham, Billy Graham’s wife, who said in the 1970s, “If God does not bring fiery judgment on America, then He’ll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.”

“I hope that we repent before we ever have to receive His fiery judgment,” he said. “… There is no other way to explain our history, other than by His hand of providence. And I hope that is something Americans are never ashamed of, and are never afraid to speak. No, it’s not politically correct … but in the hearts of most Americans, deep down we know it to be true.”

There is a “50/50 chance” he will run for president, Huckabee said in December. In his CPAC speech, Huckabee sounded like he was eager to hit the campaign trail again.

Huckabee was the longest serving governor in Arkansas and finished second, behind John McCain, in the race to become the Republican presidential nominee in 2008. He currently hosts a Fox News show, “Huckabee,” which is the network’s most popular weekend program.

Here are some other key quotes from the CPAC speech:

Healthcare: “Republicans have a better idea of an insurance that is in the marketplace and taking those who cannot find insurance and putting them in a special pool that does make it possible for people with severe developmental disabilities and people with extraordinary costs to be covered, but not at the expense of completely changing the insurance market where no one can afford it ….”

Parental rights: “Mothers and fathers raise better children than governments ever will.”

Benghazi: “Our government lied to us about what happened and I know it had not one thing to do with some ridiculous video. … With all due respect to Hillary Clinton, it does make a difference ….”

IRS scandal: “The IRS is a criminal enterprise. … The best way to get the IRS off our backs and out of our lives is to enact a fair tax ….”

Abortion: “A society that sacrifices its own children is no better than the ancient Philistines. … Every person has intrinsic worth and value. … None of us are disposable … Every life should be treated with dignity and respect.”

Veterans: “This nation must make sure that the first fruits of its treasury go to those who serve in uniform and everyone else must stand behind them before we receive anything from this government.”

NSA spying scandal: “A government that spies on its people and lies to its people is taking us on a trajectory toward tyranny and must be changed.”

Israel: “We spend more time pressuring Israel to stop building bedrooms in the land that was given to them by Abraham than we put pressure on the Iranians to stop building bombs that are pointed toward us.”
